I would not say they are gone nor forgotten. I just think they need to step their game up, and collaborate more with eachother instead of beefing with each other. Too much bullshit popping on the East these days. Remy shooting her friend, Camron and 50, Camron and Jim Jones, Tru Life and Dipset, it goes on and on!

THATS RIGHT TOO...PEOPLE NEED TO REMEMBER HIP HOP IS NOT JUST MUSIC ITS A CULTURE, ITS ARE WAY OF LIFE. PEOPLE NEED TO STOP THE NONSENSE AND DO GOOD MUSIC. AND IF YA'LL GETTIN AT EACH OTHER KEEP IT ON WAX, DUDES NEED TO LEARN HOW TO TAKE A LOSE.

Have to agree with RAS, just so much drama in the nyc. The south built there foundation on supporting one another. There wasn't as much beef back when they were building. Funny thing is now they're going at it (luda-ti, ti-lil flip, who ever else) which doesn't say much for the music as a whole. It has to go back to solidarity. Rap has to be about more than just flippin pies, sexxin & gettin high! Check the movement coming out of Chicago this year: Kanye, Common or North Carolina: Justus League the music is fire and its back to having meaning. Even the boy from BK Talib Kweli got some heat. Problem is our ears have been accustomed to listening to murder, murder, drugs & booty. Wake up People!!

THE PROBLEM IS THE NYC MARKET IS SATURATED WITH RAPPERS AS OPPOSE TO TRUE HIP HOP ARTISTS..THEREFORE THE QUALITY OF GOOD MUSIC COMIN FROM NYC HAS DEPRECIATTED AND THERES A LOT OF NONSENSE OUT THERE..THE TRUE ARTISTS IS NOT GONE..CASE IN POINT IS 50 CENT ..NOWADAYS EVERYONE IS A RAPPER BECAUSE MTV MAKES IT LOOK KOOL AND THEY ARE CHASIN MATERIALISM.RAPPERS ARE CORNY ..BUT THE TRUE ARTISTS THE ONE WHO MAKES MUSIC TO REACH OTHERS AND EXPRESS THEMSELVES WILL NEVER BE GONE OR FORGOTTEN LIKE JAY Z,BIGDADDY KANE,NAS,KANYE.,BIG PUN,PAC,50 CENT,DMX,BUSTA, ETC. POETS AND ARTIST ARE BORN AND LIVE FOR THEIR CRAFT...THESE ARTISTS I MENTION REPRESENT AN ERA WHERE THE TRUE ARTISTS DOMINATED THE CHARTSAND IT WAS REFLECTED IN THE RECORD SALES OF 1998...ALMOST 10 YEARS LATER WE HV AN INDUSTRY BUILT ON GIMMICS,COMMERCIALISM .POLOTICS AND EGOTISM.....NYC STANDUP AND TAKE BACK WHAT WE BUILT.."VAL DA VOICE OF NYC"
